Kendra Turner, 17, of Dyersburg, Tennessee was suspended because she said ‘bless you’ to another student who sneezed.
It seems that the teacher has a list of words you can’t say in class, and ‘bless you’ is on the list. The teacher told the Turner “Now we will not have godly speaking in my class.”

Mary Bess Taylor I saw somethimg that the student was repeatedly disrupting class with this in order to cause problems. she was coached by her preacher to do it until she was punished so they could start some political debate about this at the schools expense. jennifer ray posted something about it too and a letter feom the principal when this happened.
