Kendra Turner, 17, of Dyersburg, Tennessee was suspended because she said ‘bless you’ to another student who sneezed.
It seems that the teacher has a list of words you can’t say in class, and ‘bless you’ is on the list. The teacher told the Turner “Now we will not have godly speaking in my class.”

This is stupid. I’m atheist and I still say “bless you”. It’s the thing you say when people sneeze. It’s almost a cultural thing to say. We don’t really have a different way to comment on someone sneezing. idk Would you rather we just start saying “haha you sneezed!”? Seriously this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of someone getting suspended for.
The teacher is one who be suspened.
