Something bizarre is happening off the coast of Galveston, Texas. Were you to look toward the sea in the Texas port town, you’d be subject to a oceanic traffic jam of epic proportions. Ships carrying oil have gathered along the coast in the Gulf of Mexico in such great quantities that ships approaching the port have been asked to move toward the town slowly in an attempt to ease the burden.
This phenomenon is directly tied to the huge amounts of oil stored internationally and in floating container ships across the world. As oil prices fall, stockpiles of the resource are going through the roof, and governments and companies don’t have anywhere else to store it.
This could cause the price of oil to fall catastrophically further, as supply far exceeds demand for the time being.

I heard the Prez is gonna take every tenth one?
Most clear thinking economists would say that any government or economy relying on the HIGH PRICES of any commodity to run itself is not healthy for the citizens or the long term prosperity of a nation. Low oil prices will help all people. If citizens are falsely conditioned to believe that a high price attached to anything is good, perhaps the use of some critical thinking is in order. Ask WHY someone would say that. 🙂
I was in Galveston 2 weeks ago and there are a lot of tankers parked just off-shore within sight of land.
Well it this were true, it a simple answer, stop importing oil period. We obviously don’t need it. We don’t need to support the middle east that all hate us. Ships have been anchoring out in this area for years and are offloaded by smaller ships to bring into the refineries and distrubtion locations.

Just an idea
Ooooohhhhh no floating FEMA CAMPS.
These ships are riding high in the water. That means they are empty.
Galveston always have oil ships out there this is a fabricated lie to stir the people to false belief.
Those ships are too big to go up the Houston Ship Channel. Smaller “lighter” ships travel out to them and fill up and take the oil up the channel
