The Strange Deaths of Bankers, Scientists, and WikiLeaks Associates

Since everyone eventually passes on, the death of a scientist, banker, or anyone else is unremarkable unless there is something peculiar or suspicious about the circumstances surrounding that person’s demise.  However, if a group of bankers or scientists all die within a close time-frame, then what appeared routine doesn’t anymore, and it deserves investigation.

Such is now the case with the deaths of three persons connected to the highly controversial organization founded by Julian Assange, WikiLeaks.

Now it has emerged that two of the top lawyers representing Assange, John Jones in London and Michael Ratner in New York, died within less than a month of each other this year. And, Assange’s closest confidant in London and a Director of WikiLeaks, Gavin Macfadyen, died just yesterday.

WikiLeaks has released information that is very damaging to powerful interests within the Democratic Party including Hillary Clinton.

Now there is WikiLeaks leaking emails and documents that show that the same kind of cartel-like behavior that has corrupted Wall Street to its core has also infested the top of the Democratic Party. And, amazingly, three key members of the Assange/WikiLeaks support network have died within six months of each other this year. The statistical probability of this being a natural occurrence is slim.

What else is known about these three men?

The first WikiLeaks lawyer death to occur was on April 18, 2016. John Jones, a 48-year old father of two with a loving wife, was said to have thrown himself in front of a train at West Hampstead Thameslink station in a borough of London.

Apparent suicides need to be investigated to ensure that there was no foul play disguised to appear to be suicide.

The next death of a key WikiLeaks attorney came on May 11, 2016. Renown civil rights attorney, Michael Ratner, was said by the New York Times to have died of “complications of cancer.” Ratner was 72 years old. Ratner was extremely dangerous to the U.S. government because he had a unique, long-term knowledge of institutional wrongdoing within government, the U.S. intelligence apparatus and Wall Street.

There’s nothing very remarkable about Mr. Ratner’s death, and if he were not another WikiLeaks attorney to pass away, there wouldn’t be a reason to question it.

Yesterday, Gavin Macfadyen, a close friend and confidant to Julian Assange died of lung cancer, according to a statement posted at The Center for Investigative Journalism (CIJ) which Macfadyen had founded in 2003. Macfadyen, like Ratner, was dangerous to government because of his institutional knowledge base.

This third WikiLeaks associate died in the past few days.  Like Mr. Ratner, MacFadyen was a danger to the government due to his massive knowledge of government corruption acquired through years of investigative reporting.

That the deaths occurred within a short span of time may just be a coincidence. On the other hand, it seems improbable, and that’s what drives inquiring minds to demand an investigation.  And also to be concerned about the well-being of their associates who are still alive.
