As our readers are painfully aware, Speaker Paul Ryan is not confirmed conservative — neither from a social nor an economic perspective. That was probably part of his appeal to Mitt Romney when he selected Ryan as his vice-presidential running mate in 2012. But it’s not very appealing to us.
Certainly, we’d much rather have Mr. Ryan as speaker as opposed to the preposterous Nancy Pelosi. So perhaps we should not complain. Yet it would be nice if those who call themselves Republicans would actually stand up for a core set of conservative principles. No wonder people get confused when asked what Republicans believe.

Don’t trust Ryan. He is out for himself only! Stop foreign workers and give the jobs to the able welfare, etc., recipients to get them working and off assistance.
