Local news WLTX reports that the event occurs over a weeks time this month:
Richland County deputies will take place in training exercises along with the 3rd Special Forces Group out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The late-night and pre-dawn exercises will run from Friday May 8 through Friday, May 15.
Military and sheriff’s department vehicles will be traveling in the Lower Richland County community near Eastover and Hopkins, in Elgin near Screaming Eagle Road, and North Richland County in the Monticello Road area. The sheriff’s department says people in those areas may also hear ordinance being set off or shots being fired. They say those will be simulations or blanks and do not pose a risk to the community.

It seems that the sheriff’s dept and a Special Forces team are becoming quite cozy, ActivistPost reports:
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the department’s Special Response Team, a SWAT-like team formulation that is becoming ever popular in South Carolina Sheriff’s Departments, with the 3rd Special Forces Group. Lott announced that the Sheriff’s department will “provide simulated scenarios for the military” and added that Richland County “an ideal location for training that cannot be replicated at Fort Bragg.”
The sheriff’s dept states that residents will hear the shots fired as well as dentonation of explosives and ordinance. Our veterans can defeat local law enforcement. But after local police trains with Special Forces? Perhaps that is what this is all about.
It is worth nothing that the drills will be taking place in the exact same location as last year’s drills. With this in mind, and taking into consideration not only the increasing number of military and joint military/law enforcement drills taking place over recent years practicing the round up, disarming, and relocation of American citizens as well as the ongoing Jade Helm exercises taking place across the country, it is highly likely that these drills are of the same category. After all, the last time they were conducted, they apparently contained a number of these elements.
The fact that the police and military are engaging in joint drill exercises in violation of Posse Comitatus and a long-standing American tradition of separation between domestic policing and military activity is concerning enough. However, if they are training for domestic operations such as raiding American farm houses, setting up domestic checkpoints, and conducting other related raids on the home-front should be terrifying to every single American that desires to keep what little shred of freedom they have left.
Unfortunately, it has become abundantly clear that the American military and indeed the Richland County Sheriff’s Department see the American people and the people of South Carolina as the enemy.
Fire them.
That’s my neighborhood. I have friends in the police department here that would know if anything was going on. Friends on the city council, in the Chamber of commerce, connections with govt contractors who constantly work with Bragg and DC, as well as people in Intel. I’ve not heard a BB gun!! Nor a rumor.
Retired military of 21 years and still connected to Bragg
THE government needs TAKEN down from the people

The military turned to law enforcement when they first started the war on terror because the military did not have the training law enforcement had perfected when it came to building clearing, detaining and apprehending subjects and other urban tactics. The military started contracting veteran law enforcement officers from SWAT teams to teach these tactics to SF and they still train SF in the most latest and greatest tactics. The ODA’s trained will turn around and train law enforcement of other country’s such as they did while building the Iraqi law enforcement .its being twisted to cause panick where it isn’t due
