Breitbart reports:
“There’s a message being sent out to the world where people are giving opinions that are plain wrong,” Estefan told Billboard. “We need to lift up our pride and show the world what we’re doing.” Artists Shakira, Carlos Santana, Thalia, Pepe Aguilar, Gloria Estefan, Wisin, Wyclef Jean, and radio personality Enrique Santos are all a part of the collaboration. No, there is not a list of accomplishments offered.
Trump has come under fire since his June 16 presidential announcement, when he said the United States has no idea what kind of people are coming across the border.
Estefan, who claims he’s known Trump for many years, has declared his new music track “We’re All Mexican” is a response to the growing feeling that Hispanics have progressed.
“We need to let people know that,” he urged. “I want to send a message that represents unity.”
So, in a statement that offers neither unity, a fact or any thought, Estefan actually disdains the very people he seeks to elevate.
He added: “Trump doesn’t represent anything to me…Everyone has their opinion, and he can have whatever opinion he wants, as long as he doesn’t humiliate my people.” Of course, he is using mis-quoted words from Trump that the media twisted. More on this story here.
“We’re All Mexican” will be released later in September. Let us see if it does what he claims.
