Summer weather is heating up, so you know just how important keeping cool can be.
We found this great money-saving tip to keep you cool: Not only comfort is a factor, in fact every year people die due to heat. Keeping even a small area of your home cool in toasty summer weather can be very expensive if you use your air conditioner. Instead, this simple air conditioner, an easy DIY project cools down a small area, and can be made in just a few minutes out of simple parts.
This is a great way to re-purpose a few parts that you probably already have laying around. Check out the full video & how-to after the jump:

Good idea to hook up to a generator during power outage after a hurricane. Just get dry ice and keep on freezer
I’ve seen many of these videos suggesting the use of dry ice. Only a fool would use dry ice in an enclosed space. A dead fool.
Eddie Santiago this is one of the ones I was talking to you about lol

I just put a fruit basket perforated plastic thing on top of my fan with twist ties , then filled it with ice cubes. It is super effective hitting you with random sprays of ice water
I tried the bucket one. Doesn’t work. The fan is too small and no power to blow out enough air. This one would cost more with what I fear the same results.
Looks just like mine, and it works.
The problem with all these cool devices is that they don’t hold enough ice to last any significant amount of time and they only cool a very small area. I use to put a box fan over a Cambro ice caddy that held 200 lbs. of ice and I would go through 2 of those in a work day.
