This is an awesome way to cool yourself off, but keep in mind that it is not removing humidity. which is an air conditioners primary function.

They sell battery operated versions of this on Ebay that work ok for tent camping off the grid type situations. You’re not going to cool a large area with this. But in a tent, camper, etc it’ll take the edge off on a hot summer day.
Made this for $0. Had all the parts at home. A/C went out and helped cool kids’ room. 32 gal. Trash can, 1 modified box fan and some vents. 15lbs of ice, it helped.
