I done this except I cut me out a piece of plywood to fit right inside the lip of the cooler. Then I cut the holes for the pipe and fan. That way the cooler is still usable later on, it is not messed up………. Just another hint.
Its the exact same concept of a water cooled air conditioner. mostly for commercial uses these days.
This will work if you want it on your lap all day! Lol

It’s called a (swamp cooler). They’re popular in the south. Instead of melting ice try freezing bottles or jugs of water. No mess &much safer.
