Shine is a 21-year veteran of Fox, having joined at its 1996 inception and first serving as Hannity’s producer of Hannity and Colmes before climbing the ladder to become co-president after the dismissal of Roger Ailes in a sexual harassment controversy.
In response to the Sherman article, Fox News denied that Shine had requested a statement of support.
The rumors swirling around a possible Shine dismissal relate to a lawsuit this week in which he was named a defendant along with Ailes, executive Irene Briganti and consultant Peter Snyder. The suit was brought by former anchor Andrea Tantaros, who claims she was harassed by the network, including with electronic surveillance. Separately, Tantaros has made sexual harassment claims against Ailes.
Fox News emphatically denied claims made by Tantaros in the suit in which Shine is named.
Fox News and its executives flatly deny that they conducted any electronic surveillance of Ms. Tantaros. They have no knowledge of the anonymous or pseudonymous tweets described in her complaint. This lawsuit is a flimsy pretext to keep Ms. Tantaros and her sexual harassment claims in the public eye after the State Supreme Court directed her to bring them in arbitration.”
Shine previously had been mentioned in a racial discrimination suit brought against Fox by former reporter Kelly Wright, but he was not named as a defendant.
In his first tweet to Sherman regarding the New York article, Hannity made a dire prediction for Fox’s future:
Gäbe i pray this is NOT true because if it is, that’s the total end of the FNC as we know it. Done. Best Sean,” Hannity wrote in the first of a series of tweets defending Shine Thursday afternoon.
Hannity also suggested that a high-level employee at Fox News is “trying to get an innocent person fired.” The conservative host insists he knows who is behind the moves against Shine.
With the earlier dismissal of Ailes, the recent removal of O’Reilly and the rumors attached to Shine, it seems possible that the network will see more of its “old guard” leave and undergo a total makeover as the Murdoch heirs take more control.

Dallas Morning News is owned by the Murdochs. The newspaper is liberal and has long endorsed Democrats. Since the 3 Murdochs are running Fox News now. Fox is slowly clearing out the conservatives. It became obvious what was happening when Fox hired that obnoxious woman that was once Obamas spokesperson. She would come out from the White House regularly to help cover up the corruption in government such as the Benghazi incident. She now is a contributor on Fox News. Soon Fox will become liberal too!
Already the end for me so watch Hannity and I did watch Tucker until his softball questions to Jenner~~
I watched go. Got years to hear Bill, Greta, Erika Hill, even Shep. But the news was forgotten long ago. It’s about opinions. And that’s not news. That’s bias,
Start your own cable news … your smart enough.
Good!!! Maybe now they will have to go and make a living reporting real news!!
Beeter not be we”ll quit watching.
They should put Sean over Fox News, if they really want to fix it.
