SCSJ Attorney: Obama Is Helping End Discrimination Against Those With Criminal Records

To sum it up, the “ban-the-box” order makes former criminals eligible for federal employment and government subsidies. While it removes the criminal history box from the initial application, the idea is that employers can choose whether or not to ask about it. According to Daryl Atkinson, President Obama’s action affirms values that we hold dear in America. I was unaware that crime was an American value.

“The president’s action on Monday really affirms values that we hold dear in this country. Values like inclusion and equal opportunity for all people because people with records face legal discrimination in many areas of life. The 65 million Americans, one in three adult Americans, that have criminal record history, face barriers in employment, housing, education; even volunteering in their children’s school.”

Atkinson then goes on to play the race card, saying that African-Americans and Latinos are “disproportionately” represented in the criminal justice system. It’s not really a matter of them being “disproportionately” represented.

There’s nothing disproportionate about it. Crime numbers aren’t fudged to reflect social agendas. If that’s how they’re represented, it’s probably because they’re the ones committing crimes.

The Marxists are now beginning the process of locating more criminals with enough mind to hold it together while they carry out orders that your average decent human being couldn’t envisage.
