Scientists believe that the Earth’s rotation speed influences the prevalence of earthquakes. But, what they announced right after quickly turned from a fun fact to a cause for alarm.
Talk of earthquakes is, of course, nothing new. Even way back in 33AD Jesus warned that they would be a sign of his imminent return to Earth saying,
And when ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must need be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. Mark 13: 7 – 8 (KJV)
According to Jesus, talk of war and strife are not the signs that his return is imminent. These things are just a part of this world. The sign He would be returning soon would be reflected in nature, (no wonder liberals are so concerned about ‘global warming’ – deep down they know that they signify that they are soon to meet their maker).
Scientists don’t factor in things like the Lord’s word into their calculations. But, we can read what they have to say on the matter and connect it to what we know will unfold.
