Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer might be the living embodiment of comedian Ron White’s signature phrase: You Can’t Fix Stupid.
On a more charitable note, maybe Schumer just never mastered Economics 101. The dismal science provides challenges for lots of people, but the law of supply and demand rules over all, especially when it comes to gas prices.
In an interview on ABC’s This Week on Sunday morning, Schumer got turned around and confused on the economic principle of “sticky prices.” He also used the opportunity to take a shot at oil giant Exxon Mobil.
After succeeding Harry Reid of Nevada as Senate Minority Leader, Schumer has shown he’s following the same leadership style of never letting facts get in the way of rampant demagoguery.
Learn just how ignorant Schumer is on basic economic principles on the next page. Also, find out why gas prices have hit a low not seen since 2005.
