A Delaware high school student decided to “sit out” the Pledge of Allegiance, and alleged that his teacher reprimanded him that sitting out was not an option. The American Humanist Association (AHA) stated the student contacted them to represent him and his rights. The AHA immediately contacted the school, sending legal precedence with a demand the school follow this law.
should students be able to sit out the pledge? next page
Should be optional
I am a patriot through and through. I bleed red, white and blue. But the pledge of allegiance should have and always should be optional. The American right to speech should be complete in both what one can say and what one must say.
No iys thr allgience its to our vountry one nation under Gof you csnt take God out of his own crestions no matter what you do or try or say
Wrongo
Hasn’t it always been optional?
Good! no one should be forced to participate in a nationalist propaganda allegiance pledge forced on them by their government inva supposedly free country.
Pledge of Alliegance should be said everyday before class begins. If you don’t wannt to partisipate, then go sit out in the hall.
Better an optional choice than a pledge to Allah any day!!!
Why don’t you go to some communist country for a while!
I think “nationalist propaganda allegiance pledge” is a bit of a stretch. I agree it should not be forced, but it is not propaganda. I feel we often compare anything patriotic to be propaganda. This pledge was created by men who believed in this country and the FREEDOM there in. A pledge becomes propaganda when the creed is a lie created by bureaucrats to convince a populous of a falsehood to do their bidding.
