Parents are peeved at the new pick up policy for their children at Bear Branch Elementary in Magnolia, Texas. Even if one’s home is directly across the street from the school, the school mandates that the parent must get into the car and get in line with the hundreds of other vehicles, no walk up kid pick up allowed.
Under the banner of safety for children, the school neglected to think about the lunacy found in the unintended consequences of their noble idea. Only by bus or car, can a parent send and retrieve their children, no longer can a child hold a parent’s hand to walk four doors down to and from school.
The inconvenience is also found in the hour long lines of cars to pick up the students. One parent told KPRC 2 News that parents begin to line up at 2:30 for a 3:25 dismissal time.
Unintended consequences are found on the following page.
Drive 1 block? Not!
Does the district hold stock in oil companies?? A lot of cars burning gas, idling in those long lines, causing pollution, fraying nerves……
More liberal idiots. The school board can’t enforce this. I would say p**s off liberals. Too educated idiots replacing common sense with greed, power, and big brother.
America BOYCOTT THESE SCHOOLS. I ALWAYS WALKED MY KIDS TO AND FROM SCHOOL.. GOD BLESS OUR CHILDREN..
There are some damn fine teachers in the teaching proffesion and then there are the liberal teachers who are brain washing the children and denying them an unbaised education, teaching them hate and liberal bull$#%&!@*thats contrary to the constitution of the US.
You said it, Dennis, they would be the first to approve$#%&!@*s government way of schooling.
this women needs to be checked out completely for what is really going on in that school! what is she hiding?????
That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I used to walk to school BY MYSELF!!!
So our kids are go be exposed to predators because we can’t walk them to and from school, nonsense!
If something would happen to a child – those parents have every right to sue them and make them pay. And what that woman did – every parent should have done that if they could.
