Parents are peeved at the new pick up policy for their children at Bear Branch Elementary in Magnolia, Texas. Even if one’s home is directly across the street from the school, the school mandates that the parent must get into the car and get in line with the hundreds of other vehicles, no walk up kid pick up allowed.
Under the banner of safety for children, the school neglected to think about the lunacy found in the unintended consequences of their noble idea. Only by bus or car, can a parent send and retrieve their children, no longer can a child hold a parent’s hand to walk four doors down to and from school.
The inconvenience is also found in the hour long lines of cars to pick up the students. One parent told KPRC 2 News that parents begin to line up at 2:30 for a 3:25 dismissal time.
Unintended consequences are found on the following page.
they should fire all the school personel involved and start doing what is wright i walked all my kids to school to protect them

We drop our granddaughter off and pick her up every day of the week .I f it s a public school they have no right to do that . seeing as the tax money people pay keep the school running.
