Parents are peeved at the new pick up policy for their children at Bear Branch Elementary in Magnolia, Texas. Even if one’s home is directly across the street from the school, the school mandates that the parent must get into the car and get in line with the hundreds of other vehicles, no walk up kid pick up allowed.
Under the banner of safety for children, the school neglected to think about the lunacy found in the unintended consequences of their noble idea. Only by bus or car, can a parent send and retrieve their children, no longer can a child hold a parent’s hand to walk four doors down to and from school.
The inconvenience is also found in the hour long lines of cars to pick up the students. One parent told KPRC 2 News that parents begin to line up at 2:30 for a 3:25 dismissal time.
Unintended consequences are found on the following page.
That’s just stupid .kids ain’t gonna go to a non parent .
Why is my question???
Its none of the “schools” business how parents get their children home!!!
They have no right to put kids at risk
Why is this woman still in her job? Fire her!
Absolutely stupid…….how do these people get into positions of authority…..The Peter Principal ????????
To much PC c**p is in the education system all the way through College.
What a bunch of BS!!!
Close the school fire principal make sure she never works for any school system again in America. No unemployment either
The school has no control over this situation. If I had children, i would walk them home if I chose to do so!
