Parents are peeved at the new pick up policy for their children at Bear Branch Elementary in Magnolia, Texas. Even if one’s home is directly across the street from the school, the school mandates that the parent must get into the car and get in line with the hundreds of other vehicles, no walk up kid pick up allowed.
Under the banner of safety for children, the school neglected to think about the lunacy found in the unintended consequences of their noble idea. Only by bus or car, can a parent send and retrieve their children, no longer can a child hold a parent’s hand to walk four doors down to and from school.
The inconvenience is also found in the hour long lines of cars to pick up the students. One parent told KPRC 2 News that parents begin to line up at 2:30 for a 3:25 dismissal time.
Unintended consequences are found on the following page.

Youll are control nuts..
This lady is an$#%&!@* I understand if she is concerned with people other than parents hanging about or trying to take a kid that is not theirs to pick up from the school property. If that is her issue she can set a designated zone for parents to pick up walking students where they can meet with a teacher the same way a parent in a car is allowed to do and the parent (or legal guardian) can be given the student. Parents could line up and get their walking kid the same way the ones in the cars do. You can not prevent parents or guardians from approaching the building, on foot or a safe bicycle etc, sorry. Figure out another way so everyone can be safe and free to drive, walk etc, with their child to and from school. (y)
– Communists think they own the children not the parents. She needs to move to Cuba.
Stand up against this parents
Don’t let government controlled schools control you
I would simply remove my kid from the school and not send them back !!

This is obAma Hillary Union government owns the kids – not the parents – liberal c**p!
Take your schools from these idiot union thugs !
I lived across the street from the elementary school I went to and my parents only had one car. My kids went to elementary school one block down the street, it was easier to walk!
