Parents are peeved at the new pick up policy for their children at Bear Branch Elementary in Magnolia, Texas. Even if one’s home is directly across the street from the school, the school mandates that the parent must get into the car and get in line with the hundreds of other vehicles, no walk up kid pick up allowed.
Under the banner of safety for children, the school neglected to think about the lunacy found in the unintended consequences of their noble idea. Only by bus or car, can a parent send and retrieve their children, no longer can a child hold a parent’s hand to walk four doors down to and from school.
The inconvenience is also found in the hour long lines of cars to pick up the students. One parent told KPRC 2 News that parents begin to line up at 2:30 for a 3:25 dismissal time.
Unintended consequences are found on the following page.
This has to be b******t
Bill Egleston Some schools like here have been cutting back on school busing and if you life within a certain distance from school you walk.
These people should lose their jobs they are not breaking the law we walked to school everyday and no harm has come to us you teachers need to teach in school because you are failing in their school work and they don’t know math history and ant basic business and you don’t have enough sense to do it you worry about things that don’t concern you
Really who does that
How can they tell anyone how to pick up their kid. What they’re going to hold the kid hostage until the parent goes and gets a car. If they all refused and showed up on foot to get their kids what are they going to do about it.
Can it really get more crazy ?? This is when you loet the government get to big , they take away your rights !!
Idiots
How stupid is that, I ask.
The school needs to set a different entrance for parents to pick up children who walk. Say in the gym ……..
