Sanders Calls on Trump to Resign Over Access Hollywood Takes

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders believes President Trump should consider following Minnesota Senator Al Franken’s lead and resign.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., thinks President Trump should consider resigning because of the allegations of sexual misconduct made against him during his campaign.

Sanders said, “Let me take it a little step further. We have a president of the United States who acknowledged on a tape widely seen all over the country that he’s assaulted women, so I would hope maybe the president of the United States might pay attention of what’s going on and also think about resigning.

This is just another example of the Democrats playing Charlie Brown with the football.

Several of Sanders’ colleagues in Congress have been accused of inappropriate behavior, and Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., is expected to make a speech on the Senate floor addressing the allegations against him late Thursday morning.

More than 30 Democratic senators called on Franken to resign after seven women came forward and said the Minnesota Democrat groped or forcibly kissed them both before and during his time in the Senate.

Former Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., resigned Tuesday after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct, including touching them inappropriately.

They are sacrificing up some of their own to try and crawl their way onto a moral high ground from which they can oust President Trump.

While some of the Democrats see to showing the Franken the door, other house party members are already starting the war cry that President Trump’s remarks during that infamous Access Hollywood tape are grounds for stepping down.

Thursday on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY) said given Sen. Al Franken’s (D-MN) resignation over sexual misconduct accusations, President Donald Trump should also resign over “his history with this issue of harassment.”

Those screaming that President Trump’s locker room talk [Access Hollywood tape] is an admission of guilt are out of their mind.

As even the left-leaning comedian Dave Chappelle dared to say when he hosted SNL right after the November 2016 presidential election,

“What I heard on that tape was gross, but the way I got to hear it was even more gross. You know that came directly from Hillary,”

Sexual assault? It wasn’t. He said, “And when you’re a star, they let you do it.” That phrase implies consent. I just don’t like the way the media twisted that whole thing. Nobody questioned it.

But, the Democrats are confident [for all that’s worth…] that the ouster of Franken leads to President Trump’s impeachment.
