Liberals subscribe to magical thinking, believing that free college tuition and free health care to illegals will somehow end up a net win for the public. But reality often intrudes on this magical thinking like a big pimple on the end of your nose, and it is painful and unsightly. In this case, the laws of economics are intruding into the magical thinking of liberal politicians in San Francisco (as if there were any other kind there), and it is a growing problem.
San Francisco has declared that the minimum wage in the city, now being replicated in several other fact-challenged cities, will rise to $15 by 2018, and polls there predict happy, better-paid workers who will finally have a “living wage.” They have also insisted that this will not increase inflation and that it will be a boon to the minimum wage worker. That is a lie. And the impact is just now showing up as the first mandated rise from $10.74 to $12.25 is being implemented by certain retailers.
See who is raising prices in San Francisco, page 2:
So in your own words: you owned sevral successful businesses and don’t trust the stock market even though according to you it’s at an all time high and turning huge profits?? Gotcha it all makes sense now.

How quickly people forget….
The bad news is that it’s not going to get any better whether it’s Hillary or Donald Trump
It is good because now many of the workers won’t qualify for food stamps. You righties forget about the companies that use tax dollars to supliment the low wages they pay.
While I do agree with you Sean Stitt, you might want to elaborate on that just a little bit.
Why would you have to double your price to cover a 15% increase to your overhead? The only way raising MW would make you double your cost is if your business paid 0 utilities, 0 supply costs, and 0 location costs. And even with all that, it better be a damn good cup of coffee.
It doesn’t really matter what the CEO makes, he’s the one running the business, his PRIVATE, business. I myself wouldn’t mind paying the minimum skilled workers a little more if they had more than minimum skills and had even a modicum of respect and tact. And before anyone jumps down my throat I do not have a college education but I did not stop at a minimum wage job, military service and hard work led me to a job for the last 17 years that let me make more than most county employees and sent two kids through school.
Pile of BS from the 50s… never pans out… get a life..
Who the hell eats Chipotle and can count without a smart phone ennaway.. LOL
