It’s often been said, in elections, it always comes down to Florida and Ohio.
Usually, this saying is reserved for the general election, as both swing states are key to surpassing the number of electoral votes needed to secure the presidency. This year, however, the drama in Ohio and Florida are coming a lot earlier.
Donald Trump may have more delegates than any other candidate in the race so far, but he’s yet to secure the majority needed in order to secure the nomination outright. Looking forward, two states stand in his way, Ohio and Florida, which just happen to be the homes of Governor John Kasich and Florida Senator Marco Rubio, repectively.
Should he lose those states, as he did in Ted Cruz’s home state of Texas, the math becomes incredibly difficult for Trump. In order to secure the 1,237 delegates necessary to win on the first ballot of the convention, he would have to win about 70% of the remaining delegates.
Considering he hasn’t yet come close to that number, should he lose both states this Tuesday, a brokered convention is all but guaranteed.
This hasn’t been lost on party officials, who see a brokered convention as the last, best hope for stopping Trump from getting the nomination. See what they can do to snatch the nomination from Trump on the next page:

Democrat Republican PARTY.
Daniel Troy I’m sure you would know frontal lobe damage isn’t irreversible…..Had some experience there i suspect…
RNC won’t be stealing nomination from Trump they will be stealing the nomination from the people. They will pay a higher price for that than they are already paying for ignoring conservatives who have repeatedly gotten out and voted for them. Screw the RNC, we could have had a Rand Paul presidency but apparently republican establishment doesn’t care for open and constitutional governance. #StillRanding
I just do not understand why “WE THE PEOPLE” are not given the chance to pick who we want, why we have to have these darn outdated delgates it ridiculas, it has been for years and years, If they take it from Donald it is going to change the way, “WE THE PEOPLE” vote next time for sure……..why bother if some “SPCIAL PEOPLE” that do not represent my voice or vote are allowed to pick who “THEY” want for President. Let us pick our own President, a successful billionaire should could not do any worse then a do nothing community organizer who has ruined this country. Let us all have a voice, not just the liberals and the supposed impartial delegates………we want our country back, we need to fight for it, and the only canidate I see as being able to get us back to the American Dream and a country that works together to make us great again is Donald Donald J. Trump. God bless him, lets pray he wins. Blessed Be!
The good news is that after Chicago most of Cruz and Kasich voter’s have migrated to the Trump camp. I see that both Alicia and Deborah think God will save them so they have decided NOT to vote! I believe in God’s statement that ‘the Lord helps those who help themselves’. He is asking us to support his candidate and you both are abdicating that right.
SO DOES MY VOTE COUNT ?
Rather you vote for Trump or not makes you a Christian now! lol Trump is not my God Laura. Jesus is my God and you need to rethink what you are saying. The Lord never says in the Bible “The Lord helps those who help themselves.” You give me a verse in the Bible that says this.
The Word of God never demands a Christian to vote. I will not vote Trump because I do not like his words, I will not vote for Hillary because she is for everything I am against.
Trump has not been nominated yet
