Review of Media Leaks Shows 24% Linked or Related To Comey

When it comes to relying on anonymous sources (or else just plain making the story up), the usual suspects are at the head of the pack.

Note that the most ‘leaks’ since the inauguration have come from CNN (9), the Washington Post (8), and the ‘Failing’ New York Times (84). These three MSM outlets best fit the label of ‘Very Fake News’.”

A number of these stories have been successfully debunked by the Trump administration.   Further diluting and undermining the credibility of these alleged news outlets is the fact that the Wikileaks release of the emails of John Podesta (Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign manager in 2016) prove these media were working hand in glove with the Clinton campaign to promote her candidacy and derail the challenge by Bernie Sanders and the Trump campaign.

The WikiLeaks emails also show that as early as December 2015 Podesta discussed Trump’s “bromance with Putin” and the potential for using it as a means to slander Trump. Based on his emails, there is a very high probability that Podesta is behind some of the ‘leaks’ reported since the election. If Podesta is involved then the probability that some of the ‘leaks’ are made up is a very likely.”

The leaks serving as the basis for the stories aren’t supported by any attribution and the media involved don’t share any of the purported documents supposedly obtained from leakers.

The New York Times story on the one leak that Comey admitted to relied on a phone call in which the leaker allegedly read from a Comey memo regarding his meeting with the president.

Ultimately, the Times had to admit it had not seen a copy of the memo. That being the case, we can presume the memo doesn’t even exist since no one other than Comey and his leaker buddy can claim to have seen it.

As a result, a bipartisan group of senators have asked Columbia law professor Daniel Richman to provide a copy of the memo to the National Security Subcommittee of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Signing the letter were: Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-DE) — the chairs and ranking Democrats.

The letter calls the memo, reported to describe President Donald Trump telling Comey to go easy on former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, “relevant to the Judiciary Committee’s ongoing investigative efforts.”

Richman was given until midnight Friday to provide the memo and any other memoranda that Comey may have given him. It’s not known if Richman has complied yet with the request. There have been news reports that he has gone missing. When pressed during his testimony on Thursday, even Comey had to admit that some of the stories based on leaks were “dead wrong.”

What the leaking frenzy we’ve seen against President Trump really tells us is that the so-called leading media organizations have stooped to the lowest and most unethical level of news reporting. The result has been a hit to their credibility with the public from which they may never recover.

Of the 38 leaks listed below, nine are related to James Comey.
