Liberals will be hard pressed to tout Obama’s economic success after the retail apocalypse has been fully realized.
With thousands of stores being closed across the country, the Federal Reserve will have a hard time propping up our failed economy with QE and zero-interest polices after confidence is finally completely shattered.
SEE PAGE 2 FOR LIST OF CLOSING STORES:
What a joke has nothing to do with politics Radio Shack been on the edge for years tried rebranding, didn’t work Sears made the a bad merger with the bankrupt Kmart office max etc has recently merged/ bought staples don’t need to keep all stores dollar tree/general merged also don’t need all stores either already to many stores in areas , and let’s not forget all the online buying
These stores have been on th edge for 20 years. What do you think the K-mart merger had to do with it. People do not select merchandise from the sears catalog since the 60’s. Sears dies, Amazon gets bigger, get used to it.
No wonder, Sears doesn’t even have a delivery drone.
All we need to do is raise the minimum wage that’ll fix it, dumb $#%&!@*es!
Republicans??? Mr. Rosario what are the New York adverti$#%&!@*ts about no taxes if you move a business to NY That’s a tax break, nice posting but wrong!
Who says the government should step in? It is the government’s handling of the economy, bailouts, printing money night and day, expanding debt, and of course ridiculous expansion through regulation of every type leads to less consumer confidence. The market corrects itself as you see in the article…sad but something has to give.
Government can’t keep taking without a negative result.
Good.
Blame stores like Walmart and Target. Cheap low wages have shut down many other department stores. Why is Sears any different…
Wow. I just read today that we only have 48 million Americans on food stamps. I guess a few more won’t matter.
There is a lot going on in the economy… but far and away the biggest thing has nothing to do with the govenment. Technology is now replacing milions of workers in the service sector – and it’s already displaced workers in agriculture and manufacturing. Theres no where left to go for work, and unemployed people don’t shop as much.
