A campaign called “Reset The Net”, which seeks to end NSA Internet surveillance, kicked off today with participants such as Google, Mozilla, DropBox, DuckDuckGo and other major players.
The campaign claims that the only way the NSA can carry out its massive spying is by exploiting weaknesses in the Internet, and Reset The Net states this can be stopped by installing certain scripts on websites and in applications.
The campaign states everyone can participate, whether you own a website, are a developer or just want to get involved with helping end NSA spying online.

I am waiting for the current primary system where local taxpayers end up paying the cost of the two party candidates to be nominated to cause the shift in the political spectrum of selecting representatives. The opposition to the system keep pointing out the effect of money in politicals yet fail to point out it is taxpayers that actual fund the nomination of the democrat or republican candidate put forward to collect cooperate money. THERE LIES THE POWER TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM. Seeing also the USA has the only constitution in the world that mentions the press as being apart of the system that needs to remain free, the takeover of a few companies nation wide is a constitutional crisis worth fighting for than the permission to bear arms. I live in Britain and had to understand the US political system in order to pass my A. Level politics exam, that was two decades ago. i can only assume that the educational system has also been supplanted by the same elite that destroyed the importance a free media was stated in the constitution, that was never stated or mentioned anywhere in the world, before or since? I wish with all my heart you ordinary US citizens would educate each other, amend and progress the Constitution written, like the laws of England have managed to progress and change AND TAKE YOUR COUNTRY BACK?
NSA has been spying on everyone for many years – They’re not about to stop now no matter what obstacles we put in their path. They didn’t spend all those Billions of dollars perfecting Electronic Surveillance only to be stopped by disgruntled Internet (or telephone) users. You’ve got to be pretty naive to swallow this garbage.
It’s a $#%&!@*in lie. They resetting this $#%&!@* so they can have full access it’s a lie man…
$#%&!@* let em watch , they can watch my crotch ,
@wayne, that doesnt really matter. At the least, it will attract a helluva lot of people to the cause. Without a sizeable force, nothing would have ever been done in history. Also, keep in mind of the business companies that are also taking part.. Google is like a world power in the business world. Google and others can take the movement further than any common “disgruntled internet/phone user.” Its people who CAN make a difference. It may or may not be anytime soon, but its more than just a pipe dream. They just need help.. support. People are needed to band together to be able to take down an entire limb of the administration. Businesses cant do it alone.
Noah, you are right. All the rich elites are with this government. They have the power to make things go their way. Does anyone remember when monopolies were illegal? Well now days all you read about is one very successful company buying up another. All these monopolies have a mighty power and we will be their slaves.
Ah but what IS in these scripts exactly??
Good luck with that !
If we questioned things like that Dawn Momsen the NSA wouldn’t exist in the first place or at least not have the power they do..I like where your head is at
Google? That’s surprising.
