Geologist Jim Boles of UC Santa Barbara says new evidence of helium leakage may be a sign that the 30-mile stretch of the Newport-Inglewood Fault Zone is different than previously thought.
Boles’ announcement comes on the heels of a warning from the US Geological Survey (USGS) that they believe the risk of ‘the Big One’ has dramatically increased.
