Auto owners and fire departments around the country are asking BMW for answers in a new report disclosing this bewildering new phenomenon affecting these cars. A growing number of parked BMWs have spontaneously started bursting into flames.
These spontaneous fires have affected 40 parked BMWS over the last 5 years in the U.S. with numerous other similar accidents also being reported in Sweden, China, India, and South Korea.
BMW denies finding any physical evidence to support a recall and states they’re unable to find any ‘product defects.”
Bill Macko, a small business owner, and former BMW owner shares his story. Macko was a proud BMW aficionado and a member of the BMW Car Club of America. He admits buying a total of 7 luxury vehicles from the German manufacturer since the early 2000s.
“I was an aficionado,” Macko said. “I had brought so many people on board to BMWs, it was crazy. Everybody knew that I loved them so much … I mean, I lived the product, you know?”
But, all of that changed one eerie December night.
