The 2005 Real ID Act is finally going to be implemented, it seems. The Act requires everyone to obtain a passport to travel between states-so on domestic flights and traveling at state check points, one will have to produce this ID-no longer will your drivers license suffice. The Real ID Act, which taken 10 years to enact, is mostly opposed from those who believe it will violate their privacy. However, only a few states are being singled out for enforcement in the beginning of implementation.

O baby here they$#%&!@*
They want to deport all Mexicans and never let in Mexicans. But they accept all those refugees.
So isn’t this a violation of the constitutional right to free travel?
Oooops!! I have to renew mine.
reminds me of a qoute about liberty and security!!!!!!
But you can go to Canada with an enhanced driver’s license. How is this a good use of tax dollars?
Yet even with my enhanced driver’s license, I still had to get passports for my kids so they could enter Canada. I remember crossing the border as a child and nobody asked for the I.D. of any minor in the car. A lot has changed in the last thirty years or so and not for the better.
This is awesome!!! I carry concealed weapons, transport hazardous materials, protected the public in NH, pay taxes… not only can I not leave the country on my own free will, but may have to resort to ground travel. EVERY U.S. agency recognizes me as a citizen, except for Passport Authority.
SO If I live in OKLAHOMAOR ARIZONA>I HAVE TO OBTAIN A PASSPORT? THEY AREN”T INSTANT TO GET NOR ARE THEY FREE! RIGHT? WOW
Only in 4 states, whose IDs aren’t up to standards.
Another communist law to abolish.
