The battle continues over whether the courts are going to recognize the right of the president to control the borders of the nation. It certainly seems a question for which the answer is obvious, but that is not the way things are working out at all. It will likely take the US Supreme Court to settle the issue.
The subject of all this debate, of course, is President Trump’s temporary ban on travel to the US from seven predominately Muslim nations. While it might seem like the ability shut down the country’s borders, especially for a brief period of time, should unquestionably be within the president’s authority, the courts have not seen it that way. Nether does the left which has thrown a fit over the ban.
At this point, the battle has moved to the appellate court level which ruled against the ban. More on this controversy on page two.
T n A apparently is now staffed by Constitutional scholars.
It doesn’t take a Constitutional Scholar to know that the President has authority over Immigration. Liberals however, such as these Judges, can twist and manipulate the constitution however they so choose with little or no consequence. The last 6 Presidents have instituted an immigration ban on at least 1 country, there is no precedent for this foolishness. If even one person who was banned under Trump’s executive order commits any crime these judges have become directly responsible.
Apparently it does take a Constitutional scholar because you don’t grasp the illegality of the EO either.
And for the record the “liberal” judge who made the initial ruling…? Conservative.
I like it when a thought is expressed, picked up, and repeated lockstep by growing numbers of people. Lockstep is a warning of what kind of people we are dealing with.
The law will prevail
Done an awful lot
Send a couple of the precious butt wiping with their hand muslims home with each of them until this is settled. See how long they last!
Dave breyer there is nothing illegal about president trump eo and this federal judge is a liberal.
The judge ruled it illegal and he was appointed by Bush. Now if you know more about Constitutional law than a federal judge I’d love to hear it. But if not, how about you STFU? Ok? Hmm?
