Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., doubled down on calling out Dr. Anthony Fauci a liar regarding the claim that there was no gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, during an interview on “Axios on HBO.”
“He should be fired,” Paul told Mike Allen in an interview that aired Sunday.
They’ve created a virus that doesn’t exist in nature, it’s become more dangerous, that is gain-of-function,” Paul told Axios. “Now they try to justify it by saying, ‘well it was an unexpected result’, I’m not sure I buy that,” he continued.
Fauci downplays the NIH letter and states that Ecohealth simply did not file a progress report in on time, and that there will be administrative consequences.
This is a game and he's acting like Lumburgh with TPS report cover pages. https://t.co/8s6lBf0dH0
