Legislation that has been dubbed the Deny Americans the Right to Know, or DARK, Act passed the House of Representatives on Thursday.
The act, officially titled the ‘Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act’, strips states of their right to require that GMO foods be labeled and prevents the Food and Drug Administration from mandating a nationwide GMO labeling system.
“It’s outrageous that some House lawmakers voted to ignore the wishes of nine out of 10 Americans,” said Scott Faber, the senior vice president of government affairs for Environmental Working Group (EWG). “Today’s vote to deny Americans the right to know what’s in their food and how it’s grown was a foregone conclusion. This House was bought and paid for by corporate interests, so it’s no surprise that it passed a bill to block states and the FDA from giving consumers basic information about their food.”

You have a choice–raise your own food–p$#%&!@* more EPA laws–they are decreasing agriculture products and the population is growing–in the end you will have a food shortage—most EPA is like this comment–IS IT REALLY BACKED BY FACTS–most of EPA–p$#%&!@*es rules without facts—some are necessary–most are NOT–THEY JUST HARR$#%&!@*. We only have 2 million farms VS 384 million people was 320 million last count I read on facebook. Maybe you should think on this–you could not even have a domestic food supply–like our gas and oil (both overregulated) 60 loaves to a bushel of wheat–down to below $5a bushel–wonder how the farmer is going to pay his bills–You do not think about that–I certainly would not expect you to–however I have a small maybe medium size farm–only retirement I have–my husband was a rancher–I invested in farm land when he died–I could not take care of cattle–I have ups and downs in my income–it has been a nightmare with the Obama administration–many treaties lost–on Reids desk- not acted on or brought before the senate to be voted on==-other countries picked them up before he ever resigned?
