The United States of America has transformed from a Republic to an oligarchy, according to a scientific study at Princeton University.
The paper is entitled Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups and Average Citizens and it is a last call for patriots who want to live free!
America isn’t even considered a Democracy, which many mistakenly believe it is (or was), according to this research that studied almost 2000 government policies enacted between 1981 and 2002. So it’s not even taking into account the unconstitutional and obviously communist policies of the last few years under Obama’s totalitarian reign.

Clue: when a nation has ruling political dynasties (Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton), you know it’s an oligarchy.

Erskine Bowles and Alan Simpson
A Democrat
A Republican
They have shown America the way. The way out of our difficulties for generations to come. President Obama appointed these two brilliant Washington players to come up with a plan to make America healthy and wise. While letting people like me get wealthier and wealthier and wealthier. And their plan is really brilliant. It’s straight out of Willie Sutton’s playbook. For those of you who don’t know—Willie Sutton liked to rob banks. And when they finally caught him they asked him why banks?…and he said because that’s where the money is.
So that’s where they are going….Where the money is. They want to tap into the social security surplus and the ongoing stream of social security taxes—all that money that the people have been putting into the program for decades and will keep paying into it—to siphon off that cash for other things. Like tax cuts for the wealthy. Yeah job creators.
Every other area of government runs in a deficit. There is no money to pay us through those avenues—and we certainly aren’t going to pay higher taxes. But social security has a surplus—and we can spend that money better than grandma can.
It’s only a matter of time before the Washington politicians put Grandma on a diet…that social security check is going to shrink and shrink and shrink.
So…it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out how to make even more money out of this whole situation…and I, being the benevolent soul that I am, am going to give you a tip. Buy cat food stock. Fancy Fest, Meow Mix, Whiskas, Alley Cat—it doesn’t matter—all cat food stock is going to go through the roof because plain and simple, a vast new market is going to be created. That is all grandma is going to be able to afford to eat…when Simpson and Bowles get through with social security.

An Unarrestable Class?
Calls for executives of malfeasant financial institutions to be jailed shouldn’t be seen as endorsements of the US prison system, but demands that the powerful abide by the same laws as everyone else—that there not be what Rolling Stone‘s Matt Taibbi (2/28/13) called “an arrestable class and an unarrestable class.”
Taibbi was reporting the devastating news that there’d be no jail time or individual fines for anyone in charge at HSBC, despite the bank’s decades of money laundering for Mexico’s violent Sinoloa drug cartel, along with groups linked to Al-Qaeda and Russian gangs, among others.
“Even worse” than the decision, Taibbi wrote, was Justice Department prosecutor Lanny Breuer’s justification: “Had the US authorities decided to press criminal charges, HSBC would certainly have lost its banking license in the US, the future of the institution would have been under threat and the entire banking system would have been destabilized.”
The New York Times‘ Ben Protess (3/1/13) called this “tirade at Rolling Stone” part of the heat Breuer was taking for “not throwing Wall Street executives behind bars.” (He’s “somewhat bruised,” by the criticism, readers were told; “In short, it has been grueling.”)
What some in the media appear or pretend not to see is that the outrage is not just that the Justice Department, in the Times‘ words, “stopped short of indicting HSBC,” but that this occurred in a country in which a homeless man got life in prison for serving as middleman in a $10 marijuana sale.
In “A Living Death: Life Without Parole for Nonviolent Offenses” the ACLU reports on 3,278 people—a majority of them black, many poor, many struggling with mental illness or drug problems—who can expect to die in prison for crimes like carrying drugs for an abusive boyfriend, stealing a $159 jacket or possessing a crack pipe.
It’d be hard to go from reading about that to a claim that in the US “people who merely act badly or unwisely do not do time.” But the under coverage of the ACLU report made such a jarring juxtaposition unlikely.
WASHINGTON — America Again, a group looking to indict members of Congress who violate the U.S. Constitution, is turning to South Carolina’s Trey Gowdy as a candidate for the organization’s chief counsel.
America Again’s founder, David Zuniga. told Freedom Post about its plans for justice. Using its proprietary indictment engine, the group’s focus will narrow to the elected officials that match certain criteria. Zuniga said, “Certain algorithms will be employed in order to determine whether a lawmaker has introduced unconstitutional legislation, co-sponsored it, passed it out of committee or voted for it.”
Zuniga said that him and his brother were praying for someone like Gowdy.
While you are correct we are ill served by the majority of those elected to an retaining incumbency in Federal office –specifically every single “Democrat” and Progressive aside from perhaps Ron Wyden — you are too diffuse in your laundry list of what is culpable and by whom. While you are correct that the entire thrust of decades of recent legislation, and expenditure of taxpayer largesse is in unproductive, unconstitutional directions, you run risk of being dismissed as a crackpot by unloading blanket denunciation of these things and reducing it to a mantra suitable to the Occupy movement. However, we would be well to consider re-electing NOBODY while we claw out of the wreckage of constitutional misgovernance our various incumbents have enabled.
