Pope Francis is upending catholic tradition once again, and many of his followers aren’t happy.
Pope Francis was selected to lead the Catholic church in 2013, after several years of scandal-prone leadership from his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI. But it wasn’t long until Francis began stirring controversy himself.
Unlike his predecessor — who was often characterized as “too conservative” — Francis immediately began liberalizing the Catholic faith. He suggested that his followers apologize to gay people and validated the beliefs of competing religions, claiming that all religions worship the same god. Then, in perhaps the most bizarre development of last year, the pontiff began an unprompted feud with Donald Trump over immigration policy.
So it should come as no surprise that Pope Francis is once again upsetting many of his diehard followers with an announcement that seems to go against fundamental Catholic values.

I didn’t think any one but God has the power to Absolve a person of sins with the help of one holding the true priesthood
For some reason I thought it was only God/Jesus that could absolve sin. Nice to know that the Pope thinks he’s right up there with the Big Guy.
Only Our Lord can forgive our sins.
I think this is just another step to destroy the Catholic faith. If what the bible says and the Catholic Church is the beast of the land then it shouldn’t be to many more years before the rest happens.
It’s the One World Religion accommodated by the NWO… GOD only recognizes / honors those who come through His one and only begotten Son Christ Jesus… Initially ( at first ) GOD can answer one’s prayer but He will lead them to Jesus if they reject His son then He don’t know them…
The pope is an empty figurehead
To begin with, a priest, Cardinal, even the Pope cannot forgive people of their sins…only God can do that! Also, I do believe that a woman can be forgiven for an abortion, but she has to go to God, admit her sin and ask Him for forgiveness, and if she is a committed follower of Jesus, and has accepted Him as Lord and Savior, she will be forgiven. But no man can forgive a person of sin.
The anti pope
Hmmm…has he forgiven divorce yet?
