Major Legal Problems for Clinton Ignored by Media
Politicians, especially during campaign season, are asked a number of questions about both their public and personal lives, and that is only fair. If they want to represent the American people, the people should be able to get a good look at how the candidate conducts himself or herself both publicly and privately.
You can be sure that Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio, among others, will have every past peccadillo discovered, turned over, and shouted from the rooftops. That was NOT the case with Barack Obama, and we ended up with an essentially unknown and unexamined candidate because the mainstream media was so anxious to see him elected. And incredibly, despite her very public problems, the media is once again trying to hide and disguise the shortcomings of Hillary Clinton, even those that may be illegal.
The Washington Post recently reported that the State Department had issued subpoenas to the Clinton Foundation as part of a federal investigation, and that happened on the same day that the debate took place and the PBS “journalists” were moderating the event and questioning Clinton during the debate.
As the Washington Post’s investigative unit reported just today, the State Department Inspector General issued subpoenas to the Clinton Foundation as part of a federal investigation. (Why did the Inspector General issue the subpoenas? Did the Clinton Foundation refuse to turn over relevant documents? It’s unclear at this point.) What is clear is that the State Department felt the need to obtain internal documents from the Clinton Foundation as part of their investigation.
It’s also clear that the Clinton Foundation is of interest to the American people. All day it was a ten top trending subject of Facebook, which was the cosponsor of the debate. But it was never mentioned by the debate moderators.
While the State Department is working hard to protect Clinton by only releasing her emails very slowly and holding back the most sensitive ones, it is clear to even a casual observer that Clinton has made not only huge ethical lapses, but according to most government experts, extremely unlawful ones. This, too, has been of little interest to the left leaning media as they sought to dismiss the discovery process as simply a partisan witch hunt. There is a bigger story here in that the email debacle and the Clinton Foundation are somehow tied together.
It is entirely likely that the multi-million dollar donations by various countries and individuals to the Clinton Foundation contained strings and obligations that would impact a future Clinton presidency, and that those ties may be spelled out in some of the secret emails. That is as dirty as it gets, because it looks as if Clinton sold out her country for personal enrichment. Clinton may even have some information to clear the suspicious looking circumstances, but the mainstream media is just not asking the questions.
And so the very troubling and potentially illegal circumstances of the case are not worthy of questioning or reporting on by these two PBS hacks. What a pitiful pair, they should be fired for their incompetence or their outrageous bias. In either case they can not be depended on to report anything close to an objective perspective. And they have the nerve to criticize Fox? Please!
