Speaker of the House Paul Ryan recently became more of an ally for Donald Trump. After keeping his distance for months on the campaign trail, Ryan is now defending the president’s agenda with surprising force, at least for Ryan.
It was less than a year ago that Ryan refused to endorse his party’s nominee for president ahead of the Republican National Convention. Just one month to election day, it was reported that Ryan would no longer defend Trump — thanks in large part to the Access Hollywood tapes that were revealed in mid-October.
But times have changed drastically. Ryan is no longer the most powerful Republican in government. That title is now Trump’s, and Ryan seems to have come to terms with the president’s agenda.
Watch on the next page as Ryan shuts down a CBS reporter who began to attack Trump’s immigration policies:
Dawn, I am sorry for your loss. I agree with you on the ban and extreme vetting. I would prefer they stayed in their own country though.
Don’t call someone dilusional unless you have facts to back up your statement Jim Holcomb
Good job P Ryan
It’s not LIKE a breath of fresh air IT IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. Let’s keep holding him up to the real decision maker, the one that put him there, God.
I don’t think anybody on the left is going to allow us, or the Trump administration, one moment of peace. They played the race card through out Obama’s 8 years to silence any opposition to his policy making.
I’m still watching you Ryan.
Ed McKenna and put in who? Read on Maxine. You want stupid or dangerous? How about dangerously stupid…I wanted Cruz. It wasnt to be but I hope the good Lord takes me before A Dem gets back in. I disliked their policies before now its everything about them is appalling. I’ll stand with Trump cause unless Pence would be put in and every libs hands and mouth were tied there is no other option.
sorry to disagree, but as someone who likes to read and listen to whatever comes my way and has fact-checked whatever sounds unbelievable as I too take it all in with a grain or two of salt. I have to say the mainstream news is guilty mainly of sensationalizing nonsense that’s not important. Reporting on things the conservative side doesn’t like is usually honestly reported far more often than accusatations thrown out by right wing media like “Truth” and Action. Foxnews, on the news side, will present news they want to present somewhat objectively, however it is the non-news commentators that distort any sense of journalism on the station. Serious journalism requires some digging and authentication, not merely passing on rumors and opinions of biased people. Guess it depends on perspective of what a person is hearing or reading as to what they believe or want to believe. Sorry for the length, but nice to have decent conversation, I miss that.
Finally!
