Speaker of the House Paul Ryan recently became more of an ally for Donald Trump. After keeping his distance for months on the campaign trail, Ryan is now defending the president’s agenda with surprising force, at least for Ryan.
It was less than a year ago that Ryan refused to endorse his party’s nominee for president ahead of the Republican National Convention. Just one month to election day, it was reported that Ryan would no longer defend Trump — thanks in large part to the Access Hollywood tapes that were revealed in mid-October.
But times have changed drastically. Ryan is no longer the most powerful Republican in government. That title is now Trump’s, and Ryan seems to have come to terms with the president’s agenda.

Tell em MR. Speaker way to go
Yes, finally the Republicans are taking a page from the Democrat playbook. I think the fact that Trumps was a Democrat for so many years means that he know how their game works.
Thank you Mr Ryan
I’ll NEVER vote Democrat again
Good to see
The swamps going dry..
Jeff, the populace of those too states combined would and could dictate a huge sway in favor of whatever party they choose based on a general election. This is why we have an electoral college, to keep states with huge populations from dictating an elections outcome. So no, I’m not realistically saying take California and new york out of the mix. I’m saying if you did, than Trump ran away with the election. And for the record, yes I did vote for Trump, something which I’m not ashamed of. The other choice was far more embarassing and I would have been ashamed of myself had I even considered voting for her.
About time!
