Donald Trump’s presidency has inspired a wave of protests across the nation, but they’re not the product of grassroots anger. Instead, people are simply following the money — and protesting the government can be a full-time job.
Billionaires have been funneling millions of dollars into campaigns meant to obstruct Trump for over a year. George Soros alone has funded 187 anti-Trump organizations. These organizations then use the money to plan “grassroots” demonstrations around the United States. Where there aren’t enough people to attend, they bus them in. If that isn’t enough to spark attendance, they’re offering cash as an incentive.
Republicans have been speaking out against these “paid protesters” for weeks — but now they have proof that the protestors standing outside of their offices are only there for the money.
Read about one organization that is offering a full-time pay to those willing to protest on the next page:
Sad and sick
Tony Ray, you trumpkins are the only ones that I hear talking about the election, maybe you think he’s an illegitimate President?
I knew that it was just a matter of time before the GOP leadership was going to have to abandon this outrageously incompetent President and his ignorant behavior.
Based on the every-man-for-himself nature of conservatism, there was always a theoretical breaking point at which the leaders of the Republican Party would selfishly sell out a sinking Donald Trump in order to protect their own interests and it was just never clear when or if that threshold would arrive. But based on the actions of two GOP leaders last night, we’re now at that precipice of that breaking point.
It turns out all it took was the one-two punch of Trump giving highly classified intel to Russia and then being exposed for having asked FBI Director James Comey to make the Russia investigation go away. House Oversight Committee chair Jason Chaffetz, one of the most influential Republicans in the House of Representatives, posted a letter on Tuesday evening in which he demanded to see the memos that Comey wrote about Trump asking him to let Michael Flynn off the hook in the Russia investigation.
Chaffetz was even more direct on Twitter, asserting that “I have my subpoena pen ready” in order to obtain the memo. But while little about the Utah Congressman’s behavior has made sense in general over the past month, his swift action on the Comey memo wasn’t an outlier among the GOP. Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan publicly backed Chaffetz’s effort to obtain the memo. This is crucial, because the memo is hard evidence that Donald Trump is guilty of obstruction of justice.
It’s not yet clear how far Chaffetz, Ryan and other House Republican leaders are willing to take this. But it’s clear that they’re now trying to cover their own asses on this debacle of a presidency, and they’re perfectly willing to do so at Donald Trump’s expense. The lower his approval rating goes, the more definitively they’ll selfishly sell him out in the hope of protecting their own viability and future interests. It’s just the nature of conservatism.
I find it interesting that the left bashed Pres Trump for his multiple marriages! Lolololo
Hypocrites!
And Obama was up all night getting his shipment of Billions of $$$ to send to our Enemies. Nobody knew about that at the time !!!!
More f**e….laugh…worthy so called news…dreamer
It’s official, by asking Comey to end the Flynn investigation and then later firing him, Trump has committed obstruction of justice. Articles of impeachment need to be drawn up against the President now. There are a number of potential charges and criminal infractions from which members of Congress can choose:
There is no collusion law …get over it….if there was do you think russians would be questioned at a hearing? Idiots
You don’t have to tell us the corruption going on with and against our president It is really pitiful and embarrassing that this has been going on since the election It’s very obvious that they can’t handle someone who is not a politician and not abiding by their rules which were controlling of We the people They’ve all gone nuts and sound it
