One of the most integral rights one has as a patient in a doctor’s care is their right to privacy. This important right ensures that your health conditions, particularly sensitive ones such as mental illness, is no one business but your own and those who are involved with treatment.
Well, today Obama destroyed that right with his far-reaching executive action regarding gun sales in the United States.
How did patient privacy end up being entangled with gun ownership? Evidentially, the new policies set forth by the president will allow doctors to turn in their patients medical records so that they can impede on that person’s second amendment right to own a gun.
If that sounds illegal to you, you may be right. HIPPA explicitly protects a patient from involuntary disclosure of medical records, but a broad exclusion for purposes of law enforcement opened up the door for Obama’s administration to exploit.

Once again, the gestapo and KGB all rolled into one. Add the IRS and you have terrorism going on by the government.
Most doctors do not care and they won’t ask so don’t volunteer and if your ask, tell them it is none of their business or lie.
If a doc asks then you lie. Period. None of their business!
If my doctor would ask me if I owned a gun, I would tell him to drop dead and it is none of his business. Then I would get a new doctor.
There goes my confidence in doctors.
Of couse. That’s what$#%&!@*did.
