It was the moment when the entire world laughed at liberals and then lost all respect for the Nobel Prizes. When Barack Obama was announced as the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, even the fresh-faced president pretended to be a little shocked. “To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who’ve been honored by this prize,” Obama said at the time. Still, he accepted the prize over several other much more worthy candidates. What did he do to deserve the prize?
Now, in a traditional Homer Simpson “doh!” moment, a former director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute has acknowledged that, in hindsight, he’s not so sure if giving the prize to Obama was a good move either. More regrets on the next page:
Yes, I don’t think the Nobel Prize committee did an excellent & diligent search before giving the award due to this recepient because you are just carried away by his eloquence speech but all empty promises. There are lot more deserving people than him during those times who truly & genuinely did good for humanity.
Since your award is not true and obviously a genuine mistake on your part, it is not too late to make it null & void. Admission of mistake & making correction is a great virtue and this will bring respect & integrity to the Nobel Prize Awards Association one more time.
Dumb Asses
Obama did absolutely nothing to receive this. Now this prize means nothing.
U DIP SHITS NEED TO KEEP THAT FOR YOUR SELF S
By doing that you turned that prize into a joke
Mammon destroyed the Nobel peace prize values.
Yes it was a stupid thing for them to do. They also gave one to Youser Arifat. They have no credibility.
I give them a prize for being stupid
For sure. America regrets having him for a president
