Obama Organizes, Trains Tens of Thousands of Radicals to Take On Trump

Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election marked a repudiation of the policies and administration of Barack Obama’s presidency. It also represented an obstacle to Obama’s attempts to create a positive legacy for himself. On the other hand, given that there is a Republican in the White House, he now has the opportunity to try to install his pick as the Democratic party candidate to run against President Trump in 2020. And it appears that is an opportunity he does not intend to miss.

While it is traditional and customary for a retiring president to take a low-profile role in political life as his successor takes over and sets up his government, Mr. Obama has no intention of extending the courtesy to President Trump that he received from Mr. Bush. In fact, his “Organizing for Action” group is already up and running, and Mr. Trump has not been president for even a month yet.

Lou Dobbs of Fox News recently interviewed Paul Sperry of the New York Post regarding Mr. Obama’s strategies.

The interview confirmed some of what we already know, and then went further. Clearly, Mr. Obama’s Organizing for Action group is fully functional. Through this group, he has already trained tens of thousands of protestors and agitators in the techniques outlined by the notorious Saul Alinsky in his book, Rules for Radicals. In March, the plan is to train another ten or twenty thousand in the six-week program that Organization for Action employs.

These activists will be deployed to disrupt Republican-led events in the effort to make it appear that the Republicans are in disarray and are unhappy with their party’s office holders, especially President Trump. It is a diabolical plan that is not based on open and vigorous debate of the issues, but rather is a strategy of subterfuge and deception combined with agitation for violence. And they plan to be ready to begin their campaign of disruption with the Republican rallies to be held during the upcoming Congressional recess.

Even that is not enough for Mr. Obama, as he is working to install his own pick as the Democratic candidate to challenge President Trump in 2020. This would be Tom Perez, his former labor secretary, and a man with virtually identical political views.

It will be important to watch Organizing for Action and Mr. Perez in the coming months. Given Mr. Obama’s already cozy relationship with the mainstream press, the negative impact could be amplified considerably. All of which proves that President Trump’s victory marked a new beginning in the struggle, not a time to rest.
