Obama: There is Little Difference Between Capitalism and Communism, “Just Decide What Works”

Obama unable to see benefits of capitalism

Obama suggested in an address to Argentine students that there is little difference between capitalism, socialism and communism. He apparently forgot that Socialism and Communism led to the deaths of hundreds of millions of people, both through war and extermination programs, and through starvation brought about by central planning. His ignorance is embarrassing and shocking, but the press will report his idiocy as a “balanced” approach to the economic challenges in Latin America.

The fact, however, is that socialism has been tried throughout Latin America, and it has always led to poverty and economic disaster, such as the complete economic and societal meltdown now seen in Venezuela, once a vibrant and wealthy country until socialism was implemented to “help the poor and to level income inequality.” It is now level enough that toilet paper is a luxury and grocery stores are empty. Still, Obama claims there is little difference between systems.

“So often in the past there has been a division between left and right, between capitalists and communists or socialists, and especially in the Americas, that’s been a big debate,” Obama said during a visit to Argentina Thursday. “Oh, you know, you’re a capitalist Yankee dog, and oh, you know, you’re some crazy communist that’s going to take away everybody’s property.”

“Those are interesting intellectual arguments, but I think for your generation, you should be practical and just choose from what works. You don’t have to worry about whether it really fits into socialist theory or capitalist theory. You should just decide what works,” he added. “And I said this to President Castro in Cuba.”

These are much more than intellectual arguments to the people starving in socialist or communist countries, wondering where common goods like toilet paper will come from. In the following video Obama will suggest that the “workers paradise” in Cuba has been a boon to citizens in need of education and health care. Obama proves again that he is completely out of touch and exceedingly ignorant. Perhaps he did not notice that people in Cuba have been literally dying for decades to escape from the “success” that Cuban socialism represents. One would have to surmise that Obama is the most inept president we have ever had, and certainly the poorest representative of American freedom and success.
