Not satisfied with extending an olive branch to anti-American countries like Cuba and Iran, President Obama has reached out to yet another old enemy of the United States.
Although the Vietnam War ended decades ago, that bloody, brutal conflict left a generation of Americans traumatized both physically and mentally. Not only that, but the country suffered a symbolic defeat when the US was forced to evacuate hundreds of civilians as the North Vietnamese communists rolled into Saigon in 1975.
Today, however, the Obama administration has decided that that’s all in the past, and is ready to make nice with the regime in Hanoi. And not just to make nice: shocking even Americans who are not old enough to remember the war,
Obama has lifted a ban on selling weapons to Vietnam, something that will baffle and perhaps even outrage veterans of the war. After all, who would have ever guessed the communists they were fighting would one day be purchasing American weapons with the express permission of the president?

First thing we need to do: If you have a vet friend, “buy” his gun asap. Secondly, I think if we were to overwhelm the gun registration system by making daily “buys” and “sells”, or “trades” they will give up.

Oh? Notice how you didn’t give a$#%&!@*before? This is exactly why nobody takes you people seriously: Project Gunrunner is a project of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intended to stem the flow of firearms into Mexico, in an attempt to deprive the Mexican drug cartels of weapons.[1]
The primary tactic of Project Gunrunner is interdiction of straw purchasers and unlicensed dealers to prevent legal guns from entering the black market; between 2005 and 2008, 650 such cases involving 1,400 offenders and 12,000 firearms were referred for prosecution.[2] However, other tactics (“gunwalking” and “controlled delivery”) have led to controversy.
In early 2011, the project became controversial when it was revealed that Operation Wide Receiver (2006–2007) and Operation Fast and Furious (2009–2010) had allowed guns to “walk” into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.[3][4]
