Obama Federalizes Local Police Force In Six US Cities

Federalized Law Enforcement in Six Pilot Cities

Many believe that this is only the first step towards global policing under the auspices of the United Nations.  Once again, the Administration and the press will dismiss that thought as pure conspiracy theory, but the indications are starting to appear.

In an address to the United Nations General Assembly on September 29th, 2015, Attorney General Loretta Lynch made the following comments.

I want you to know that the Obama administration is deeply committed to ensuring that the Strong Cities Network is as strong, vibrant and resilient as the cities it unites – because we know this model works.  Here in the United States, we have joined with local partners to bring down far-flung human trafficking rings, to strengthen trust in law enforcement, to thwart cyber-security threats and to combat official and international corruption.  Our experience tells us that partnering with city-level officials and the communities they represent extends the reach and deepens the perspective of national governments and international alliances.  And connecting those localities to one another – as the Strong Cities Network is doing – is not only a powerful way to lift up our communities worldwide, it also sends a message about who we are and what we aspire to be – as an alliance of nations and as a global community.  When the representatives of the Strong Cities Network join together for their first Annual Summit in Paris in Spring 2016, they will be making a strong and clear statement to their citizens and to the world: we stand united against violence, united against fear and united in the pursuit of a better and brighter future.

The words sound benign, even encouraging.  But the history of this administration is one of overreach and ever expanding federal power, and the likelihood is that this will continue until the day that Obama leaves office and well beyond then. The takeover of local law enforcement activities in selected cities is just a beginning. If you are wondering if your city is involved in this scheme to federalize your local sheriff, take a look at the following list:

Cities chosen for the COPS pilot program are Minneapolis, Fort Worth, Pittsburgh, Stockton, Birmingham and Gary, Indiana.  As mentioned in Obama’s 21st Century Policing Task Force, the founding premise for this federal takeover is supposedly the rampant racism of the American police, who victimize poor, innocent populations for no other reason than color. As an example, however, Gary is a city with an 83% black population; only ten percent of its citizens are white; the demographics of Gary are further evidence of the fallacy of this takeover. Gary is a crime-riddled, liberal stronghold, eager to prove to the Big Brother Obama that they are in need of federal oversight and a big fat check. Their federal handout amounts to $4.7 million, supposedly to provide training as well as dictate policy and fund the perpetual black hole of research, into the issue of distrust between citizens and law enforcement.

The idea that Gary, Indiana is in the throes of a witch-hunt of  blacks and other minorities by racist white police officers is ludicrous on its face.  The inflated stories of crime and violence in these cities are simply the “crisis” that Obama has been looking for to expand federal power. They lead to a path of greater centralized control, and provide a means by which this nation will be increasingly under the thumb of not just the federal government, but ultimately the oversight of the U.N. Whether Obama has enough time left to fully implement this program remains to be seen.
