Obama: ‘Beyoncé Runs the World’

Obama is telling lies at Howard University to the graduating class of 2016.  Or perhaps, he is only sharing his myopic world view, one that only sees through an African-American lens, and is blind to the big picture, that under his watch America is much worse in most areas of his influence.

“During his roughly 45-minute speech at the historically black college Saturday afternoon, Obama said that America “is a better place today” than it was when he graduated in 1983. The President declared that both the world and race relations in America are better, too, saying that his reelection in 2012 was “just one indicator of how attitudes had changed.”

Certainly there have been incredible strides in the black community and opportunities abound, we do have a black President, which is a landmark in the Civil Rights Movement, but race relations are horrific under this President and yet he refuses to see it.

According to a New York Times/CBS News poll, six in ten Americans think that race relations are generally bad, and four in ten think they are getting worse. What’s most striking is that majorities of both black and white respondents said race relations were poor.

In Obama’s world black is the new everything and Beyoncé is the role model for every little girl.

“When I was graduating, the main black hero on TV was Mr. T. Rap and hip hop were counterculture, underground. Now, Shonda Rhimes owns Thursday night, and Beyoncé runs the world,” the president added to laughter from the graduates. “We’re no longer only entertainers, we’re producers, studio executives. No longer small business owners — we’re CEOs, we’re mayors, representatives, Presidents of the United States.”

Character does not count, only the color of one’s skin and the ascent to fame and fortune.  Michelle Obama has idolized Beyoncé, calling her a role model for her daughters.

Beyonce has long been a favorite at the White House, shared Truth and Action.   She has sung at both inaugurations.  And FLOTUS being a mother of two teen girls would know a good role model, right?

Beyoncé’s behavior at the Super Bowl, as well as her new Black Lives Matter themed album, has earned the praise of the residents of the White House, instead of the concern that it creating a greater race divide.

Beyoncé set a record last week with her latest release — the Black Lives Matter-themed Lemonade — landing all 12 of the album’s songs on the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously, a first for a female artist.

As Truth and Action shared, “Nothing says role model like Beyoncé’s new get revenge, smash up the hood, destroy public property and smile saucily at the camera with an entourage of cheery girls in tow.  This “Urban Terrorism” is showcased in her new Hold Up video, where, with a baseball bat in hand, she destroys windows and police surveillance cameras, with explosions adding to the angst.

Her anger-filled heart is on display in this video, just as it was in her Superbowl display of hate toward cops.

Beyoncé issued a strong political statement with her halftime show at Super Bowl 50 on Sunday with backing dancers dressed as members of armed rights group the Black Panthers, Truth and Action revealed.

The superstar brought the dancers on for her new single Formation which is being widely touted as a rallying cry for the Black Lives Matter movement.

At one point during the song, the supporting performers formed an ‘X’ on the field – thought to reference black rights campaigner Malcolm X – and then raised their arms in the air in a gesture referencing the black power salute by Tommie Smith and John Carlos at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics.

Yet this is the person Obama says “rules the world”, the world he thinks is better off because he is President.  He believes that artists who hate on cops and promote the values of the Black Panthers reflect a better society.

As former Mayor Rudy Giuliani pointed out:

“…I thought it was really outrageous that [Beyoncé] used it as a platform to attack police officers, who are the people who protect her, and protect us, and keep us alive,” Giuliani said on Monday.

“What we should be doing in the African-American community and all communities is build up respect for police officers and focus on the fact that when something does go wrong, okay, we’ll work on that. But the vast majority of police officers risk their lives to keep us safe,” the 2008 GOP presidential candidate said,  reported Truth and Action.

Mr. President, with all due respect, you need a new pair of glasses and a new set of friends, for both of these are terribly broken. You have surrounded yourself with thugs and haters, with those who poison society with anger and rage at police and who promote division among Americans and call for the destruction of public property “art”.  This is not a better America, Mr. Obama, it is significantly the opposite.
