As events develop surrounding the Russian invasion of Ukraine, President Obama appears bewildered. Russian President Vladimir Putin sparked what is the strongest tension between western nations and Moscow since the cold war when he declared he had the right to invade. The situation is not far off Sarah Palin’s 2008 predictions of possible consequences of electing Obama to the presidency.
President Barack Obama is a little dazed and confused. It took US President Barack Obama 90 minutes of intense dialogue with the Russian President Vladimir Putin to grasp that Putin is unshakably fixed on the course he has set for Ukraine and has no intention of withdrawing the Russian troops he has positioned in the Crimean peninsula. In fact, behind the diplomatic verbiage, Russian President Putin was clearly on the offensive. He let it be understood that unless the US and Europe rid Kiev of the “fascist gangs,” which had taken over, Moscow would move forces into additional parts of Ukraine to uphold its interests and “protect the Russian citizens and compatriots living there” for as long as the interim regime remained in Kiev.
After all, Putin did stand alone at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Winter Games – unattended by a single Western leader. After that experience, he is not afraid to stand alone on Ukraine as well, regardless of US and EU efforts to force him to abandon what he views as an imminent strategic threat on Russia’s doorstep.

His actions speak for him. Need say any more?
Russia the world is passing you by. Your barbaric attitude is holding you back.
I can’t believe so many Americans express admiration for that nut-case Putin. And for those of you implying that we should confront Russia militarily, are you ready to sign up and go to war? Are you ready to make some sacrifices?
No different than US going into Iraq. But our warmongers want WW III.
Obama is a bitch
Frankly I’m very concerned, with this incompetent clown we have for president trying to handle Putin I’m afraid we are facing issues we don’t really want to face, and when Obama say the one thing that sets Putin off (and he will) he can proudly go to his grave with that $#%&!@* eating smile of his and say “Ha, I started WWIII” And if you have ANY sense of reality at all you should be VERY worried for your children and Grandchildren!
It’s piddling and useless.
Now? Or later, Will Robinson? I’m not advocating for military intervention but to quote Powers Booth, “two biggest dogs on the block, sooner or later their gonna fight”! There is a reason Putin is willing to risk a fight right now and he is our President. As for admiration for Putin, nope, he’s a throw back to the old Soviet Union, I’m afraid more and more Americans are losing respect for President Obama not respecting Putin more.
I just don’t believe war is the answer to every problem in the world. I don’t think Putin gives a rat’s ass who our president is- he was going to take Crimea no matter what. If Crimea wants to go back to Russia, let them go- it sure seems that way.
Absolutely, war is not always the answer, I’m not saying it’s the answer here, what I do believe is that the Crimea is a part of Ukraine and seizing it is an attack on Ukrainian sovernty, man, I hope you folks up there don’t stop giving a darn about us ol’ Floridians, you might consider just kickin us out the door for Castro!
