Obama: Americans are too Lazy to “Really Know Anything About Other People”

Whether he meant to insult the good people in Luang Prabang, Laos or give them a backhanded compliment, it certainly doesn’t sound good to either of the parties involved. Apparently he thinks that informing the world that the rest of the world exists is some big initiative that only he can push forward. Never mind that one only needs to look at a globe to accomplish for free what he’s spending millions of dollars on.

Obama said, “You know I believe that the United States is and can be a great force for good in the world but because we are such a big country we haven’t always had to know about other parts of the world. If you are in Laos you need to know about Thailand and China and Cambodia because you are a small country and they are right next door and you need to know who they are.”

What a hero . . . not. He went on to say that people in the United States are lazy and think that because we’re such a large country, we don’t need to know anything about other countries. That’s quite an assumption for somebody with one of the most failed foreign policies this country has ever seen.
