According to a lengthy article recently published by the New York Times, around 5,000 chemical weapons did exist when Bush claimed we needed to invade Iraq for weapons of mass destruction, the only thing is….we gave them to Iraq in the 90´s.
The Pentagon knew these weapons existed but kept it classified. Now ISIS has control of these weapons.

Darrel Padberg, you bet. Twenty tons of yellow cake was shipped to Canada. Proven and confirmed.
Shocking
I had no problem marching into IRAQ to take their oil. We needed it, they had it.
“we gave them to them” uh yeah, tell us something we dont know
I believed then and still believe now the missions in Iraq and Afghanistan were in the best interests of those countries, their people as well as the entire rest of the world. I believe that the abandonment of those missions by this administration has not only created a vacuum there but is threatening all of us now. The lies told by main stream media, unjustly crucified our best line of defense and destabilized the region, thanks for that.
Well said Gina Russell. People don’t understand that chemical weapons are WMDs. Hussein had them and used them on the Kurds in villages. The Dems and main stream media made it out to be nuclear weapons as only WMDs. The uninformed and illiterate bought into the propaganda of the Dems and MSM.
And that surprises any of us?!!
No, no way, it can not be. You don’t say.
WMDs found in Iraq

While the Democrats in the U.S. Senate forced the upper house to close to the public for the purpose of investigating whether President Bush deceived the nation about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, a new book attempts to remind the world that WMDs were indeed found after the invasion. In fact, lots of them were found.
In the book, “Disinformation: 22 Media Myths That Undermine the War on Terror,” investigative reporter Richard Miniter reports once again on some major nuclear and chemical warheads discovered by coalition forces. They include:
* 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium
* 1,500 gallons of chemical weapons agents
* 17 chemical warheads containing cyclosarin (a nerve agent five times more deadly than sarin gas)
* Over 1,000 radioactive materials in powdered form meant for dispersal over populated areas
* Roadside bombs loaded with mustard and “conventional” sarin gas, assembled in binary chemical projectiles for maximum potency
