Lefty Columnist Blames the Victim
Nicolas Thalasinos, a Messianic Jew, was one of the victims in last weeks mass murder by fanatical Muslim Syed Rizwan Farook in San Bernardino, California. He was a coworker of Farook, and they had had several conversations about religion, with Thalasinos rejecting Farooks claim that Islam would rule the world or that Thalasinos would ever see Israel again.
Thalisinos was a very religious man, and perhaps that is why Staci wrote her hate-filled piece, because to the Left, anyone with Jewish or Christian beliefs is a backward, angry, ignorant rube, and the only legitimate religion is Islam, at least until the jihadis come for Lefties, at which time it will be too late as they are thrown off the top of buildings. Thalisinos was no doubt also worthy of death because he was pro-NRA, anti-Planned Parenthood, and pro-Israel.
Typical of the Left, even as they shout about the abuse of free speech when concerned citizens express doubts about an unlimited immigration of Muslims into this country. One wonders if free speech is a right too easily given to hate mongers like Staci. Here are some excerpts of what she said:
“The victim,” Stasi wrote, “is also inaccurately being eulogized as a kind and loving religious man. Make no mistake, as disgusting and deservedly dead as the hate-filled fanatical Muslim killers were, Thalasinos was also a hate-filled bigot. Death can’t change that. But in the U.S., we don’t die for speaking our minds. Or we’re not supposed to anyway.”
Ah, there it is: “We have freedom of speech but…” In Stasi’s mind, she and her ilk should have the freedom of speech to spew the most disgusting hatred toward those whom they hate, but their victims should not have the same right.
For Stasi, their victim, Nicholas Thalasinos, was just as bad (as the killers), because he was a conservative. Robert Spencer writes:
Her equivalence founders, of course, on the simple and titanic fact that Farook was a mass murderer, while Thalasinos was never going to kill anyone. But in her madness to justify the San Bernardino jihad murders, Stasi doesn’t bother to mention that….Why does Stasi believe that Pamela Geller is a hate-filled bigot, the equivalent of Syed Rizwan Farook? Because she has put her life on the line calling attention to and opposing the Islamic hatred and bloodlust that leads to the San Bernardino jihad murders and other jihad mass murders. If Pamela Geller’s warnings had been heeded, Nicholas Thalasinos and the other San Bernardino victims might be alive today. But they were not heeded, because of the relentless demonization that has been carried out for years against her, and continues to be, by people like Linda Stasi and her accomplices in the mainstream media.
A police officer on the scene in San Bernardino said: “It was unspeakable the carnage that we were seeing.” Stasi says they had it coming. They did not submit to the blasphemy laws under the Sharia. When jihadis drove 1000 miles to open fire on our free speech event in Garland, Stasi’s headline was: “Stasi: With Pamela Geller’s Prophet Muhammad cartoon stunt in Texas, hate rears its ugly face again.” She wrote: “Looks like Pamela Geller will get her wish: More dead Americans at the hands of radical Muslims. Hell, the hatemonger finally even got ISIS to pay attention to her.” Looks like Stasi got her wish in San Bernardino.
Stasi is a screeching, hateful, angry Liberal. She is willing to destroy the reputation of a victim of mass murder at the hands Islamic terrorists because he had the audacity to be conservative and religious. She is not alone in her beliefs or her opinions of those who might be conservative, religious, or supporters of Israel.
And she is horrified that in a free society like America, we can believe as we like, and reject murderous religious beliefs such as those held by Farook and his wife. And according to Staci, that is worthy of death.
