A Congolese migrant in Manchester will not be facing prosecution on 6 counts of domestic violence. His lawyer persuaded the city prosecutor that attacking women was merely a part of his culture and that he didn’t have the “cultural competency to participate in the American justice system according to court and public records reviewed by the New Hampshire Union Leader.”
You’d be forgiven for wanting to believe that such rulings were an anomaly. However, they are now becoming the norm, not the exception.
The decision is one of several questionable actions highlighted late last month by Attorney General Gordon MacDonald in a widespread critique of domestic-violence prosecutions in Manchester. MacDonald’s critique led to the abrupt retirement of veteran City Solicitor Tom Clark and has put Clerk’s office under heightened scrutiny.
One of these “questionable decisions” involved Augustin Bahati, 33, who was arrested last August for striking, pushing, grabbing, kicking and pulling out the hair of a 27-week pregnant woman.
His case was dismissed in early March when Manchester prosecutor Andrea Muller, the domestic-violence prosecutor! – dropped ALL 6 charges against Bahati for assaulting a pregnant woman.
How Bahati avoided prosecution was spelled out in handwritten notes of District Court Judge William Lyons.
“The parties agree that the expert reports and analysis indicates that the defendant:
. Not competent
. Not restorable
. Not dangerous
Consequently, the court must dismiss the charges,” Lyons wrote on March 2.
Muller is still the domestic violence prosecutor in Manchester! It’s a joke. She is too racist to fight to protect and defend ALL women. The liberal agenda and the Democrat Party is skilled at veiling their overt racism. By claiming to advocate “tolerance and understanding” for all these migrants they’re actually encouraging the abuse of women and the racial profiling of ethnic minorities.
There is a simple solution to this so-called “cultural competency” problem. How about we add a cultural component to the vetting process to make sure we only bring in people willing to abide by the moral and ethical standards of Western culture? O wait that is considered racist. I don’t know about you but I’d much rather be called racist than have my defenseless little nieces or nephews assaulted and know their attackers were walking around free due to a lack of “cultural competency”. And I think that is the whole point behind this progressive liberal trend to increase immigration and cultural “tolerance” at the expense of the safety of American citizens. It will only be a matter of time till migrants start getting shot and on the receiving end of a Wild West type version of the law if the left continues to bring in violent immigrants and refuse to prosecute.
It is in the interest of the Establishment to start a civil war. For it is in times of chaos and vulnerability that the people are most open to giving up their freedoms. And out of the rubble, it is well within the realm of reason that the new progressive socialist vision for America will finally be realized.
